In a tragic incident in Nagpur, a 28-year-old woman named Sheetal Charpe died from severe head injuries after being forcibly thrown from a moving autorickshaw by her boyfriend, Vikas Kambade. The incident occurred late Tuesday on the busy Jalalkheda road, where Sheetal was found lying in a pool of blood, prompting immediate police intervention.

Initially, the situation was perceived as a potential hit-and-run accident. However, as police delved deeper into the circumstances surrounding the incident, it became evident that Kambade played a significant role. Reports indicate that the couple had a tumultuous relationship, marked by frequent arguments, primarily fueled by Kambade's suspicions of infidelity on Sheetal's part.

During the investigation, authorities determined that Sheetal was a passenger in Kambade's autorickshaw when a heated argument erupted. It is alleged that Kambade assaulted her while driving and subsequently pushed her out of the vehicle. Although Kambade claimed that Sheetal jumped from the moving autorickshaw, conflicting statements and evidence, including indications of prior threats, led investigators to suspect his involvement in her death.

As a result of these findings, law enforcement officials have reclassified the case from accidental death to murder. Kambade was arrested and appeared in court, where he was remanded into police custody until October 16. The investigation is being spearheaded by Nagpur (rural) Superintendent of Police Harssh A Poddar, along with Additional SP Anil Mhaske and Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Jambhale from Jalalkheda.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to clarify the exact sequence of events that led to Sheetal's tragic demise, emphasizing the importance of addressing domestic violence and ensuring justice for victims.
