Focus on major defaulters and commercial properties.
MIHAN India Ltd and Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd (MADC) have successfully settled ₹5 crore in outstanding property tax dues with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). This payment is part of NMC's intensified recovery campaign aimed at collecting long-overdue taxes from property owners across all ten municipal zones.
The NMC has set a September 30 deadline for its recovery efforts, prioritizing commercial properties and significant defaulters. The campaign includes issuing notices and pursuing legal actions against properties with substantial unpaid tax liabilities. This initiative not only aims to improve tax collection but also to bolster the civic body's financial resources for municipal services and infrastructure development.
