IIM Nagpur has announced the launch of an Export Accelerator Programme aimed at assisting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Maharashtra to penetrate international markets. This initiative, part of the Centre's Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) project, was unveiled on October 16, 2026, and is designed to equip local entrepreneurs with essential export-related skills.

The Export Accelerator Programme is structured to provide participants with comprehensive training in various aspects of exporting. Key areas of focus include identifying potential overseas buyers, navigating export procedures, and enhancing competitiveness on a global scale. Participants will gain insights into export fundamentals, international market research, and essential documentation processes, as well as pricing strategies, product quality standards, and supply chain management.

In addition to training, the programme offers personalized mentoring and expert guidance to help MSMEs develop effective export growth plans. Participants will also have opportunities to connect with potential buyers, incubators, and investors, although it is important to note that participation does not guarantee business orders or investments.

Eligibility for the programme is open to Udyam-registered MSMEs in Maharashtra, including those looking to enter export markets, early-stage exporters, and established exporters who meet specific criteria. Additionally, children of existing exporters may apply under certain conditions. This inclusive approach aims to broaden the reach of the initiative and support a diverse range of businesses.

The application deadline for interested MSMEs is set for October 17, 2026, and the programme is scheduled to commence on October 27. By enhancing the export capabilities of Maharashtra's MSMEs, this initiative seeks to facilitate their access to global markets, ultimately contributing to the growth and sustainability of the local economy.
