The graduation ceremony for the 13th batch of Aamozish-e-Urdu was held on October 9 at the India Peace Centre in Civil Lines, Nagpur. This event marked the end of a month-long educational journey where participants from various professional backgrounds came together to learn the Urdu language, its script, and its extensive literary traditions. The ceremony included certificate distribution, performances by participants, and personal reflections, celebrating both their achievements and the friendships formed during the course.
Aamozish-e-Urdu is an annual initiative aimed at introducing learners to the Urdu language while promoting appreciation for its literature and cultural heritage. The program's classes were led by Dr. Tejinder Singh Rawal, a chartered accountant and academic with a strong passion for Urdu. Despite his busy schedule, he dedicated time to teach the fundamentals of reading and writing Urdu, emphasizing not only the mechanics of the language but also its rich literary traditions and values of respect and communication.
During the concluding ceremony, Dr. Rawal shared his reflections, expressing joy at witnessing participants evolve from struggling with basic letters to confidently reading and writing in Urdu. He quoted Dagh Dehlvi to illustrate the patience required in the learning process. Additionally, Ms. Alefia Master, a dedicated teacher, played a crucial role in supporting participants by conducting revision sessions, ensuring that everyone grasped the lessons effectively. Her commitment highlighted the collaborative spirit of the program.
The program not only focused on language skills but also served as a platform for cultural exchange. Participants engaged with the works of renowned Urdu poets and presented diverse performances that included ghazals, Punjabi compositions, and Hindi songs. This cultural diversity was celebrated during the graduation ceremony, where different languages came together, demonstrating how Urdu can bridge gaps between various linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
As the 13th batch concluded, the graduation ceremony symbolized both an end and a new beginning. While formal classes have ended, the participants are encouraged to continue exploring Urdu literature and poetry. The core message of Aamozish-e-Urdu remains clear: language fosters connections, and learning together nurtures friendship and mutual respect. The certificates awarded were not just acknowledgments of course completion but reminders of the journey into a new literary world and the community formed along the way.
