Deekshabhoomi Prepares for Dhammachakra Pravartan Din on Oct 20

In anticipation of the Dhammachakra Pravartan Din on October 20, Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur is making significant preparations to welcome a large influx of devotees. With facilities set to be operational from October 18, the site will feature temporary shelter domes that can accommodate 500 individuals each, alongside continuous access to drinking water and sanitation services.

The preparations have reached a critical phase as officials expect lakhs of attendees from Maharashtra and beyond. Collector Kumar Ashirwad conducted an inspection of the arrangements, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that essential services such as water supply, sanitation, accommodation, healthcare, and safety are fully operational and without deficiencies.

A notable aspect of the event's preparations includes the installation of more than 1,235 separate toilets designated for men and women, strategically located at the ITI premises, the deputy director of health office, and the prison grounds. Additionally, a dedicated Hirakani room is being established to cater to the needs of nursing mothers during the celebrations.

Special attention has been given to emergency preparedness, with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on standby to address any potential incidents. Firefighting resources are also being arranged to ensure safety during the event. The collaborative efforts of various departments are crucial to maintaining order and accessibility for the large number of devotees expected.

Looking ahead, the focus remains on interdepartmental coordination to ensure that the influx of visitors does not disrupt access to basic civic amenities. Authorities are committed to providing a seamless experience for all attendees, with ongoing vigilance throughout the celebrations.
