During the valedictory ceremony of the International Principals’ Educational Conference (IPEC 2026) held at IIM Nagpur, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the challenges faced by Generation WOW, comprising Gen Z and Gen Alpha. He pointed out that while this generation has unprecedented access to information, the real challenge lies in transforming that information into meaningful knowledge and wisdom.

Fadnavis elaborated on the unique position of today's youth, who have grown up in an era dominated by technology and instant information access. Unlike previous generations, they are surrounded by smartphones and computers from an early age. He stressed that merely having access to information does not equate to having knowledge, and it is crucial for educators to guide students in processing this information ethically.

The Chief Minister emphasized the responsibility of teachers and school principals in shaping the moral compass of students, especially in an age where artificial intelligence and misinformation are prevalent. He compared technology to a horse that requires control and direction, urging educators to focus on character-building and human values alongside technological advancements.

The conference also celebrated notable contributions to education and culture, with Dr. Nitish Bharadwaj receiving the Sarvottam Nachiketa Puraskar. Lifetime Nachiketa Awards were given to Dr. Razia Hussain and Shraddha Kelapure, while Super Nachiketa Awards recognized Dr. Indira Nainar and Kanchan Ukey for their excellence in education. Additionally, Best Paper Awards were presented to educators from various regions for their innovative practices.

In conclusion, CM Fadnavis released an e-souvenir titled 'Patheya, The Golden Elixir', which compiles scholarly papers from the conference. The event underscored the vital role of education in societal transformation and the need for a balanced approach to learning in the digital age.
