A tragic incident unfolded in Nagpur's Butibori area when a minor disagreement over a ₹20 payment for slipper repairs led to the death of a 76-year-old man. The victim, identified as Jaysingh Rajaram Bhaiswar, succumbed to injuries inflicted by an iron cobbler's tool during a confrontation with the accused, Dilip Pawar, aged 35.

The altercation began when Pawar visited a cobbler's shop to have his slippers repaired. After the repairs were completed, he refused to pay the ₹20 charge. Bhaiswar, who was present at the shop, insisted on the payment, which escalated into a heated argument. According to police reports, Pawar verbally abused Bhaiswar before striking him on the head with a triangular iron anvil used for cobbling.

Following the attack, Bhaiswar was quickly transported to AIIMS Nagpur for medical treatment. Unfortunately, he died while receiving care, prompting police to take swift action. Officers arrested Pawar on Saturday, the same day as the incident, and have since charged him with murder.

Authorities have confirmed that a murder case has been registered against Pawar, and investigations are ongoing to gather more details about the circumstances surrounding the attack. This incident has raised concerns about public safety and the potential for minor disputes to escalate into violence.

As the investigation continues, local residents are left in shock over the tragic loss of life over such a small amount of money. Police are urging the community to resolve disputes peacefully and to seek help rather than resorting to violence.
