₹30 Lakh Copper Heist at Nagpur Hospital Construction Site

In a brazen theft, copper materials valued at over ₹30 lakh were stolen from a storeroom located on the third floor of a hospital under construction in Ramdaspeth, Nagpur, on October 10. The incident reportedly took place between 6 AM and noon, as an unidentified individual broke into the site, according to police reports.

The security in-charge at the site, Sunil Ghurde, 53, filed a complaint detailing how he had gone to the third floor to oversee laborers when the theft occurred. During his absence, the suspect allegedly forced open the storeroom lock and made off with significant quantities of copper materials. The stolen items included six bundles of copper, each weighing approximately 30 kg, along with 45 copper rods and other copper materials.

Authorities have confirmed that the total estimated value of the stolen copper is around ₹30 lakh. The police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident. They are reviewing CCTV footage that captured a man in his mid-20s, who is believed to be involved in the theft.
