In a tragic incident in Butibori, a 27-year-old vegetable vendor named Tushar Kulmethe was murdered on Friday, allegedly due to a love triangle involving his wife. The police have arrested the suspect, identified as Ajay Sirsam, aged 25, following the brutal attack.
The conflict reportedly began when Tushar discovered that Ajay had been in contact with his wife for the past three months. Tushar, who had been married for about a year, confronted Ajay after learning that he had taken his wife to his home in Samudrapur. This confrontation led to an altercation between the two men, escalating the tension further.
On the day of the incident, Tushar's wife had a disagreement with him and returned her mangalsutra before leaving their home. Tushar later found out that she was at Ajay's cousin's house in Hanuman Nagar, Butibori. Accompanied by a relative, Tushar attempted to convince her to come back home, but the situation quickly deteriorated.
According to police reports, Ajay threatened Tushar with an axe during the confrontation. When Tushar attempted to escape, Ajay pursued him and struck him on the head with the weapon, resulting in fatal injuries. After the attack, Ajay fled the scene, but the police apprehended him shortly thereafter.
Ajay Sirsam has been taken into custody and is awaiting judicial proceedings.
