In response to the increasing number of swine flu cases, the Delhi government has mandated that all government hospitals maintain a minimum of five isolation beds for patients suffering from influenza and other vector-borne diseases. This directive was issued during a Health Department meeting led by Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh, where the preparedness for H1N1 and seasonal influenza was discussed.

Larger hospitals are required to have ten or more isolation beds. The minister also instructed the establishment of Flu Corners in emergency departments, where Senior Residents will be on duty to assess suspected patients and collect swab samples for testing when necessary. With 138 new H1N1 cases reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of cases in Delhi has now reached 2,446 for the year 2026, prompting health officials to advise citizens to remain vigilant and practice good respiratory hygiene.
