Swara Bhasker, the acclaimed actress, recently shared her emotional journey regarding motherhood during an episode of 'Rise and Fall Season 2.' The 38-year-old revealed that she had contemplated becoming a mother through in vitro fertilization (IVF) even before tying the knot. Swara expressed that motherhood was a long-held aspiration, emphasizing her determination to start a family regardless of her marital status.
During her candid discussion on the reality show, Swara recounted how she approached her parents about her desire to have a child. She conveyed her willingness to pursue IVF, stating, "I was okay to do IVF, I had convinced my parents, meri shaadi toh hone se rahi main ivf se bacha karungi." This statement highlights her resolve to embrace motherhood, even if it meant doing so independently.
Swara also acknowledged her parents' support, noting that while they were encouraging, they made sure she understood the challenges of raising a child. She affectionately described them as "sweet people" who recognized her passion but also cautioned her about the difficulties ahead. "Bichare mere parents yaar bade sweet log hai, they are like 'listen it will be very challenging... but obviously if that's what you want,'" she shared.
The actress revealed that she underwent two rounds of IVF, both of which did not result in a successful pregnancy. Her desire for a family remained unwavering, as she stated, "I really wanted to have a child and have a family and I did two rounds of IVF but hua nahi." Despite the setbacks, her journey ultimately led her to a new chapter in her life.
Swara Bhasker married political activist Fahad Ahmad on February 16, 2023, through a court marriage. The couple later celebrated their union with traditional ceremonies in March. Their love story blossomed during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), leading to their marriage and the recent arrival of their daughter, Raabiyaa Rama Ahmad, born on September 23, 2023. This new addition to their family marks a significant milestone in Swara's journey to motherhood, fulfilling her long-held dream.
