Tata's total passenger vehicle sales reached 75,426 units.
Electric vehicle sales surged by nearly 75%, totaling 16,244 units.
Exports increased significantly to 1,532 units, marking an 851.55% rise.
In a remarkable achievement, Tata Motors recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in October 2026, with total sales reaching 75,426 units. This milestone marks the first instance where the company has surpassed the 75,000 mark for cars and SUVs sold in a single month, reflecting a robust growth trajectory in both domestic and international markets.
The domestic sales of Tata's passenger vehicles grew by 20.87%, amounting to 73,894 units compared to 61,134 units in October 2025. This increase of 12,760 units signifies a strong demand for Tata vehicles, with month-on-month sales also showing improvement. Compared to September 2026, where sales stood at 68,810 units, there was a notable rise of 5,084 units, or 7.39%.
Electric vehicle sales played a crucial role in Tata's overall growth, with a total of 16,244 units sold in October, representing a staggering increase of 74.93% from the previous year's 9,286 units. The demand for electric vehicles has surged, accounting for approximately 21.54% of total passenger vehicle sales, up from 15.15% in October 2025. The Punch EV model notably crossed the 5,000-unit sales milestone, underscoring the growing popularity of Tata's electric offerings.
Tata Motors also reported a significant rise in exports, with 1,532 units shipped overseas in October, a remarkable increase of 851.55% compared to just 161 units in the same month last year. This growth in exports, while partly due to a low base from the previous year, also reflects Tata's expanding global footprint. The company aims to enhance its supply chain to meet the rising demand for both electric and CNG vehicles.
Looking ahead, Tata Motors is focused on converting its record bookings into sustained sales growth. With the overall sales growth of approximately 23% outpacing the estimated industry growth of around 10%, the company is prioritizing increasing production, particularly for its electric and CNG models, to capitalize on the strong demand and ensure product availability.
