Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has reported a remarkable achievement, delivering over 50,000 vehicles throughout the Navratri festival in 2026, with more than 10,000 units delivered on Dussehra alone. This surge in deliveries reflects a significant increase in customer interest in the company's cars and SUVs, driven by improved consumer sentiment during the festive season.

The company has noted a rise in showroom inquiries, bookings, and deliveries, indicating a robust demand for its diverse range of vehicles. Amit Kamat, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd, emphasized the positive festive atmosphere contributing to this demand, stating that the response during Navratri has been particularly encouraging.

To accommodate the heightened demand, Tata Motors has ramped up production and enhanced its logistics operations, ensuring better availability of popular models. Kamat highlighted the company's commitment to meeting customer needs during this festive buying period, especially as the celebrations progress towards Dhanteras and Diwali.

In addition to Tata Motors' impressive delivery figures, the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) reported that passenger vehicle registrations across India reached 182,728 units during Navratri 2026, marking a 10.39% increase from the previous year. However, compared to Navratri 2025, there was a decline of 21.91%, attributed to the shorter festive period this year.

Looking ahead, Tata Motors anticipates that the current momentum will continue through the remaining festive celebrations. The company has a healthy booking pipeline, although specific figures for pending bookings or model-wise deliveries have not been disclosed. As families across India celebrate new beginnings, Tata Motors is focused on ensuring that more customers can bring home their desired vehicles.
