The Nifty Smallcap index has experienced a significant downturn, plummeting 7.5% this week, which positions it for its worst weekly performance in 20 months. The current market conditions have led to at least 15 stocks in the small-cap sector reaching their 52-week lows. Among the hardest-hit stocks, Himadri Speciality Chemical has seen its shares tumble by approximately 25% this week, marking its steepest weekly decline since January 2009. The current volatility raises concerns about the stability of the small-cap sector, prompting investors to reassess their strategies in light of recent developments.
