12 companies, including Jio Platforms and Zetwerk, are planning IPOs in October.
The total funds raised through IPOs in 2026 have surpassed Rs 1.1 lakh crore.
Upcoming IPOs span various sectors, reflecting investor interest in long-term growth.
In October, a total of twelve companies, including prominent names like Jio Platforms and Zetwerk Manufacturing Business, are gearing up to enter the primary market with initial public offerings (IPOs). This move is part of a broader trend of robust fundraising that has characterized the year 2026, with companies aiming to capitalize on favorable market conditions.
The upcoming IPOs represent a diverse array of sectors, including technology, healthcare, renewable energy, and defense, indicating sustained investor interest in businesses with promising growth trajectories. The companies plan to utilize the funds raised through a mix of fresh equity issues and offers for sale (OFS), targeting business expansion, capital expenditures, debt repayment, and working capital needs.
So far in 2026, companies have successfully raised over Rs 1.1 lakh crore through 96 IPOs, with 35 of those launched in September alone. Neha Agarwal, Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets at JM Financial Ltd, noted the ongoing momentum in India's primary market, despite potential volatility in secondary markets. She highlighted that institutional demand remains strong, supported by deep domestic liquidity and selective foreign capital.
Among the notable upcoming IPOs, Jio Platforms, the telecom and digital services division of Reliance Industries, is set to open its IPO for subscription on October 21, with expectations that it will become the largest IPO in India to date. Other companies like HD Fire Protect and Fusion CX are also preparing to launch their offerings, with specific price bands already established for their shares.
Looking ahead, Agarwal anticipates that sectors such as renewable energy, precision manufacturing, and technology will continue to drive IPO activity. She emphasized that maintaining pricing discipline will be crucial for attracting strong investor interest and ensuring sustainable performance post-listing. As the IPO pipeline expands, companies that adopt pragmatic valuations are likely to fare better in the competitive market landscape.
