In October 2026, Hyundai Motor India reported a remarkable achievement, recording its highest-ever domestic sales at 62,799 units. This figure represents a significant increase of 16.74% compared to 53,792 units sold in the same month last year. The overall sales, including exports, reached a total of 82,299 units, marking a 17.75% growth from 69,894 units in October 2025.

The impressive domestic sales figures were complemented by a year-on-year increase in exports, which rose by 21.10% to 19,500 units, up from 16,102 units in October 2025. However, there was a slight month-on-month decline in exports, which fell from 20,750 units in September 2026 to 19,500 units in October. Despite this drop, the overall sales performance improved, with combined domestic and export sales increasing by 5.63% over September's total of 77,916 units.

Among the models contributing to this success, the Hyundai Venue achieved its highest monthly sales ever, with 13,017 units sold in October 2026. This SUV accounted for approximately 20.73% of Hyundai's domestic sales, highlighting its popularity in the market. The strong performance of the Venue, along with the anticipated impact of the newly launched Bayon, has positioned Hyundai favorably in the competitive automotive landscape.

The Bayon, introduced on October 26, 2026, is expected to further bolster Hyundai's sales figures. Priced starting at Rs 9,99,900 (ex-showroom), the Bayon fills the gap between the Venue and Creta in Hyundai's SUV lineup. It features a 1.5-litre petrol engine and comes equipped with advanced technology, including dual 12.3-inch displays and a generative AI voice assistant, appealing to tech-savvy consumers.

Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, expressed optimism about the company's performance, attributing the record sales to festive demand and growth in both domestic and export markets. He emphasized that the Bayon will play a crucial role in expanding Hyundai's footprint in India and over 50 international markets, reinforcing the country's position as a key manufacturing and export hub for the automotive industry.
