The scooter boasts an 8.1-litre fuel tank and 27-litre underseat storage.
Deliveries of the ADV160 are now postponed to 2027.
Honda has officially released the brochure for its much-anticipated ADV160 scooter, showcasing its engine specifications and various features. Launched in August at a starting price of ₹1.70 lakh, the scooter was initially set for delivery in October 2026. However, customers will now have to wait until after New Year 2027 for their vehicles, as confirmed by Honda.
The ADV160 is designed to compete with models like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160. It is powered by a 156.93cc liquid-cooled engine that generates 12 kW (approximately 16.32 PS) at 8,750 rpm and 14.9 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission and features Honda's PGM-FI fuel injection system, eSP+ technology, and an Idling Stop System. Notably, the ADV160 is claimed to be India's first E85 flex-fuel scooter, allowing for ethanol blends from E20 to E85, although fuel efficiency figures for these blends are not provided in the brochure.
In terms of practicality, the ADV160 offers an 8.1-litre fuel tank and a generous 27-litre underseat storage compartment. The scooter's design includes a front fuel filling system that allows for refueling without lifting the seat, and a front storage area equipped with a 15W USB-C charging port. The dimensions of the ADV160 are 1,966 mm in length, 758 mm in width, and 1,116 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,333 mm and a kerb weight of 137 kg. It features 14-inch front and 13-inch rear alloy wheels with block-pattern tyres and disc brakes on both ends, complemented by single-channel ABS.
Safety features include Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for managing rear-wheel traction, along with hazard lamps and a side-stand engine cut-off function. The scooter is further enhanced with a 12.7 cm TFT display that offers customizable layouts and Honda RoadSync for Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to access navigation, calls, and music through their smartphones. The ADV160 is available in several colors, including Mat Dune Brown and Pearl Deep Ground Gray.
Despite the comprehensive details provided in the brochure, some important specifications are still missing. Notably, the seat height is not listed, which could affect potential buyers' accessibility assessments. Additionally, mileage figures and suspension travel details are absent, leaving customers with unanswered questions about the scooter's overall usability and running costs. As the delivery timeline extends into 2027, prospective buyers are eager for more information regarding this exciting new model.
