In a significant update, Google has integrated its Antigravity platform into the Gemini app for macOS as part of the Gemini 4 Argon rollout. This integration marks a shift from Antigravity being a standalone application to being embedded within Gemini, providing users with a more seamless experience.

Antigravity, which serves as Google's agent-first development platform, was first introduced at I/O 2026. Since then, it has undergone rapid updates, with version 2.0 enhancing its capabilities significantly. Previously available on various operating systems, including Mac and Windows, Antigravity is now directly accessible through the Gemini app, allowing for a more integrated development environment.

The new version of the Gemini app features a Liquid Glass pill for Antigravity, located in the top-right corner, which provides users with access to the full functionality of the Antigravity application. This integration is primarily driven by the enhanced coding capabilities of Gemini 4 Argon, enabling users to develop applications and web experiences from a single platform. However, access to Antigravity requires an AI Ultra subscription within the Gemini app.

In addition to the Antigravity integration, the Gemini app has been updated with a new “Chat” and “Task” switcher, which replaces the previous Gemini Spark feature. The navigation drawer has also seen improvements, with the search function now positioned in the top-right corner. Users can now view both Spark tasks and scheduled actions in a new Scheduled view, streamlining task management.

To utilize the new features, users are encouraged to ensure they are running the latest version of the Gemini app for macOS. With these updates, Google aims to enhance the user experience, making coding and task management more efficient and accessible for macOS users.
