CNG Prices Surge in Delhi-NCR Amid LNG Cost Rise
Indraprastha Gas Limited raises CNG prices by Rs 3.89/kg due to soaring LNG import costs.
CNG price in Delhi-NCR is now Rs 86.98/kg.
This marks the fifth price hike in 2023.
Global LNG prices have doubled since July.
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has announced an increase in CNG prices in Delhi-NCR by Rs 3.89 per kg, effective Saturday. The new price for CNG in the capital will be Rs 86.98 per kg, reflecting a significant rise attributed to escalating liquefied natural gas (LNG) import costs.
This is the fifth increase in CNG prices this year and the first since May. The price adjustments have been driven by a global surge in energy costs, particularly due to the ongoing West Asia conflict, which has disrupted cargo movements. As a result, CNG prices vary across regions, with Noida and Ghaziabad seeing prices of Rs 95.59 per kg, while Gurugram's price stands at Rs 92.01 per kg.
