Three major companies of the Adani Group—Adani Power, Adani Total Gas, and Adani Energy Solutions—are preparing to announce their earnings for the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27 this week. Adani Total Gas and Adani Energy Solutions are scheduled to release their results on Thursday, October 22, while Adani Power will follow with its announcement on Friday, October 23. Investors are keenly observing these developments to gauge which company might exceed market expectations and present a compelling investment opportunity.
Adani Power is anticipated to report robust earnings, driven by increased electricity demand. However, seasonal fluctuations and rising coal prices may impact profit margins. According to Prathamesh Kadival, a research analyst at Bonanza, Adani Power's profit for the first quarter of FY27 rose by 47% to ₹4,867 crore, supported by a 17% increase in power sales and a plant load factor of 77.9%. Despite this positive outlook, the stock has been experiencing a downward trend, closing at ₹187.05 on the BSE, down 3.41%.
In contrast, Adani Energy Solutions is expected to maintain steady profits after a significant increase in the previous quarter. However, analysts warn that rising operational costs could pressure margins. The stock has also shown signs of weakness, trading below its short-term moving averages. Virat Jagad, a senior technical research analyst, noted that the stock closed at ₹1,326, down 2.94%, with critical support at ₹1,242 and resistance at ₹1,386.
Adani Total Gas faces the most challenging conditions among the three, with high gas costs leading to a 14% decline in Q1 profits, totaling ₹142 crore. The company's performance hinges on CNG and PNG volumes and gas pricing. The stock is currently in a bearish trend, closing at ₹559.20, down 2.45%. Analysts recommend avoiding fresh purchases until a trend reversal is evident, with immediate support at ₹545 and resistance at ₹582.
Looking ahead, analysts suggest that Adani Energy Solutions may be better positioned to exceed expectations, particularly due to growth in its transmission and smart-metering sectors. As the earnings announcements approach, investors are advised to consider the valuations and potential risks associated with each stock. The upcoming earnings reports will be crucial in determining the future trajectory of these companies within the Adani Group.
